Check this out….another blue or “Jeans” inspired nail polish collection. What is up with that? I mean, I like blue and I like my jeans, but but but….CHANEL and DIOR sort of had the same idea…I guess this is what you could call a “trend”…..

ESSIE has more great colors coming your way. It seems to me that all the natural/neutral colors are of a bygone era. ESSIE has gone color crazy, and I like it. I am going broke buying their polishes now, whereas before I did not care much for all the naturals, pinks and neutrals. They somehow all looked the same to me!!??
Check the new (wonderful crazy colorful amazing) colors here. Heck they have even added some GLITTER in there….GOSH-OH-MY what a wild, wild thing to do!!
The funny thing is that I saw these two weeks ago floating around the web, but there is still nothing on the official ESSIE website. Why the hell not!!??
Norman Ambrose & CND nails for fall 2011…
How to be inspired….
These nails were not done by me….I wish though….
Look at the pictures, and see how the nails were inspired by the shoes. This is a great example of how to get inspired by an object. You can get inspired from anything really, just look at something, close your eyes and let your imagination wander……..give it a try, why don’t you…..
Design by CND for Norman Ambrose Fall 2011.
Well although I never use their Shellac system, I do loooove their designs for Fashion week. I change polish too often to be able to appreciate their 2 week wear claim!! They are so creative, and come up with some great stuff each year. Check the video: Look Book Fall 2011 here. Lots and lots of ideas for you Nail-divas out there.
A forgotten summer manicure…
A manicure I did this summer. I wanted to see how long the creamy ELF polishes would last, so it is a very simple mani.
I found that the polish did not last more than two days with the ELF topcoat, but with a Sally Hansen top coat it would last for almost a week….so the point I am trying to make: topcoats does matter….
I am dying to see this exhibition. It is creating quite a stir. Check out the video, its great.
New LANCOME polish…
My darling hubby gave me this beautiful gift. This just spells “love” to me.
Colors:
LANCOME - 29 Noir (this black polish has tiny gold shimmers)
LANCOME - 22 Rouge Saint Honor (a beautiful deep red)
I love that the only thing on the bottles are the rose logo, no name, no color…..
ESSIE manicure…
So, finally here is a manicure using my 3 new ESSIE fall colors. Plus I added a warm antique gold.
Items used:
ESSIE - Case study
ESSIE - Glamour purse
ESSIE - Power clutch
Nail Star - Gold
Just want to show you these nail stickers. I bought them on eBay about 6 month ago. 50 sheets for 6 dollars!! Now that’s what I call cheap!! The quality is actually quite good, considering the price. When you have this many, you can really play around, its great fun. Just go to eBay, and search for “Nail stickers”, keep looking for that perfect bargain, as some of the stickers on eBay are actually quite expensive. Sometimes it helps to search on “Job lot nail stickers” too. Don’t forget to look overseas as almost all will ship to where ever you are, even if it doesn’t say so. These I got from England. The postage was about 1.5 or 2 dollars.
I don’t know if you can see this on the picture, but the black and white stickers actually have some bling on them. Tiny rhinestones, so cute.

Fall 2011 nail trend…
This is it, the new nails for this season. The “new and modern french manicure. I like it. But I could never wear my nails like this. My nais are way to wide, so I will stick with the square shape for now. You can use any color combination that you fancy, this is not the important part. The important part is the nail shape (they actually should be a little longer than these), and the thin “French line” (by Sophy Robson of course!! Looove her.).
Products used:
La Femme - The black one, no name
Fräulein nail art polish - The two accent colors, again; no names. From the “38” collection though.
Sorry about the creepy fingers!!!
Couldn’t help myself…
Ok, so I just had to go get three more of the ESSIE fall polishes…..I have been thinking of them since I got the “Very structured” a while back.
I made some swatches for you, inside and out, two coats. As you can see they really look nothing like the ads I have seen, but I love these muted fall colors to death.
Colors:
Case Study
Glamour Purse
Power Clutch
The coverage is not that good and you will need two or three coats of the darker ones. The polish with the best cover factor is “Case study”. They all have a very cool and natural shine to them when dry.
How do you store your polish?
A quick tip of the day for you. This may seem so very simple, but trust me, it will be a big help.
Tip: Paint the cap of all your polishes! This is easily done using a q-tip or a small brush. It will be so much easier to find the color that you need. Remember that you should always store your polishes standing up, never on the side, lying down.
So many that you just don’t know what to do with them? Well I have an idea: Buy REAL GOLD nail polish. Real gold Inc. has a line out consisting of both polishes and nail art liners containing real gold. But do not fret my friend, if your cash supply is running low, they also come in REAL SILVER!!!
OK, so this is just a tad stupid.

Nail polishes…out of this world…
I got these fun polishes from a, to me anyway, unknown brand. They are no way near new, but I just liked them for being different.
